This beautiful handmade tea set is crafted by master ceramicist and friend Adil Writer. The tea set contains a 16 fl-oz ( 480 ml) teapot with a natural cane handle and two cups. The tea pot is perfect for steeping as it has an inbuilt strainer that will filter out the loose leaves. The tea set is made of stoneware, where the clay is fired in a gas fired kiln. The cane is sustainably sourced from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The tea set is food safe, lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe, but we would still recommend that you lovingly wash and rinse this beautiful set by hand.

Adil Writer is a master ceramist, painter and architect originally from Mumbai who has now settled in the experimental community of Auroville in the forests of South India. He strikes a fine balance between making functional tableware and his own studio ceramics and large-scaled unfired clay paintings. Adil is one of the few ceramicists who specializes in soda fired stoneware, where each piece is unique, with its own charm and beauty.
