If you are using our turmeric lattes also known as golden latte, add ½ teaspoon of the powder mix to 1 cup (8 fl-oz) steamed milk (dairy or non-dairy) and honey to your liking. You can have it hot or chill it in the refrigerator for an iced latte. We often have it for its medicinal properties in hot water as a turmeric tea. To make our loose leaf turmeric green tea take 2.5 g and steep in filtered hot water at 175-185 °F for 1-2 minutes and strain, sip and enjoy. Out loose leaf teas can be steeped for multiple infusions For our turmeric herbal tea bags you can steep 1 tea bag in three-fourth cup (6 fl-oz) of near boiling water (210 °F) for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and enjoy your healthy cup of tea.
One cup of turmeric tea contains approximately 1 ground teaspoon of turmeric, which in turn has about 150-250 mg of curcumin that is the active ingredient in turmeric. Guidelines recommend approximately 0-3 mg/kg of body weight to be the recommended allowable daily intake of curcumin. Based on these recommendations we suggest that you can drink 1 cup of turmeric tea per day.
