Start Your Journey NowAbe and Poorvi, practicing physicians in Atlanta, founded Herbs & Kettles, fueled by their love for wellness and a deep appreciation for exceptional tea. Poorvi, a certified ITMA tea sommelier, ensures that each tea is personally selected for its wellness benefits, aroma, and flavor.
We travel to different regions of India to collaborate with small sustainable farmers, directly sourcing single-origin, single-batch teas for your enjoyment. Each tea is exquisite, and a testament to our dedication to quality and wellness.
All the tea gardens we collaborate with are committed to avoiding pesticides or artificial preservatives whenever possible. While some larger tea gardens have organic certification, many smaller ones use organic methods but cannot afford certification due to financial constraints.
To maintain freshness, store tea in an airtight pouch or container. Keep it away from strong odors and direct sunlight to preserve its flavor.
Our teas are fresh, typically only months old, ensuring the best possible flavor. They are usually good for 2-3 years from production. While teas and spices don't expire, their flavor may diminish over time, so we include a "best by" date for optimal enjoyment.
Making chai is simple and takes only a few minutes. In a saucepan bring 1 cup water and ½ cup milk to a boil. Add two teaspoons of the chai mix, sugar if you want it sweet and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Strain into a cup and enjoy!
Yes you can use the dairy alternative of your choice such as oat, cashew, almond or coconut milk. Our favorite is oat milk for Masala Chai and Rose Cardamom Chai and almond or cashew milk for Vanilla Lavender Chai.
