Chaiwala Tiger Tips

  • If you’re using dairy, whole milk works best.
  • Oat milk is the best milk substitute for Rose Cardamom Chai and Masala Chai. With Vanilla Lavender Chai we like almond or cashew milk. If you’re using plant based milk, the exact ratio of water to plant based milk will depend on its consistency and thickness.
  • If you want your chai sweet, sugar tastes better than honey. Add it when you’re preparing it on the stovetop.
  • If you want iced chai, prepare it as you would normally over a stovetop, then strain and put it in the refrigerator for a few hours. When chilled, serve over ice.

Best Chai
This is the best chai available in the market. I started falling in love with chai when my Indian friend made me chai tea from scratch. Since then I have been making them on my own. However, having pre-blended chai is very convenient, especially when you are on the go. By far, this chai is the closest to authentic Indian chai I have tried.

Amazing Tea
I’ve been buying from Herbs and Kettles for about a year. Every tea I buy is fantastic. I am a tea snob and can say with confidence, this is the best tea I’ve ever purchased in the US.

Roses Are Red
Roses are red...I’m not much of a chai drinker, but I love rose and cardamom, so I decided to give it a try. It is a terrific tea - and quite addictive.

My Favorite Teas
I love Rose Cardamom Chai and Vanilla Lavender Chai. Masala is also one of my favorites. These teas are incredible. The service is also amazing, and they’re delivered fast. I live in Alaska, so I appreciate quick deliveries.

Rose Cardamom Chai Love
Vanilla Lavender Chai Love. This is one of my favorite teas ever. Super tasty, even though I cheat and don't boil the milk - pour boiling water over the tea, add my almond milk on top, and let it steep all together. I also love the company, their approach to business, and their commitment to the community locally as well as in India.

Brass Strainer
The brass strainer was beautiful and functional. So much so that my kids started drinking tea just so they could use it. Clever design, so it hooks on your cup, and you can pour the chai right over it. Love it! The teas are the most delicious chais I’ve ever had, more potent and rich in spices than I’ve ever had. Love it so much!

Frequently Asked Questions

All the tea gardens we collaborate with are committed to avoiding pesticides or artificial preservatives whenever possible. While some larger tea gardens have organic certification, many smaller ones use organic methods but cannot afford certification due to financial constraints.

To maintain freshness, store tea in an airtight pouch or container. Keep it away from strong odors and direct sunlight to preserve its flavor.

Our teas are fresh, typically only months old, ensuring the best possible flavor. They are usually good for 2-3 years from production. While teas and spices don't expire, their flavor may diminish over time, so we include a "best by" date for optimal enjoyment.

Making chai is simple and takes only a few minutes. In a saucepan bring 1 cup water and ½ cup milk to a boil. Add two teaspoons of the chai mix, sugar if you want it sweet and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Strain into a cup and enjoy!

Yes you can use the dairy alternative of your choice such as oat, cashew, almond or coconut milk. Our favorite is oat milk for Masala Chai and Rose Cardamom Chai and almond or cashew milk for Vanilla Lavender Chai.

It's simple- we use the highest quality 100% natural ingredients sourced directly from farmers to make you the best chai.
