Tea Type

Whole leaf black tea

This exquisite tea is a must for a tea aficionado. It is rich with lovely layers of complexity and great for Gongfu style of steeping. If you are looking for something well balanced with a gamut of flavors to unravel, this is definitely a tea that you will enjoy. This batch was made especially for us and we are very proud to have this tea.

Delicate and beautiful with twisted dark brown leaves and abundant silvery buds it is marvelous. The tea is delicate with floral and sweet aromas. Sweet notes of rose and jasmine are enveloped with notes of honey, bitter almond, oak bark, stone fruit and hay.

Dry leaves

Exquisite, long and elegant dark brown twisted leaves, with abundant silvery-gold buds. Notes of cacao, cream and baked dinner rolls.

Wet leaves

The leaves have coppery tones and cacao, smoke, earthy, floral and baked dinner roll aromas.

Tea liquor

The tea liquor is the color of golden honey with aromas of cacao, butter, stone fruit and rose. The tea steeps to give a well balanced cup with rich mouthfeel, texture, full body, mild-medium astringency and lingering aftertaste. There is a lovely pleasant bitterness to the cup with mild sweetness. Rich flavor notes of cocoa nibs, butter, honey, malt and rose are experienced throughout. There are some notes of bitter almonds in the first couple infusions that give a lovely luxurious nuttiness. Milder notes of oak bark, hay and stone fruits interlace the cup and add interesting layers of complexity.

Meghalaya

Origin

Where your tea comes from

This tea was plucked by a small team of 13 pluckers working at a boutique tea garden Meghalaya. A hidden gem, located in the picturesque East Khasi Hills, on the banks of the Umiam -Lake, the tea garden specializes in small batches (ghani batches) of tea, as it pays meticulous attention to the harvesting and processing aspects, so as to craft the most unique and magnificent teas of unparalleled quality. Meghalaya is extremely picturesque and has great biodiversity with the garden hidden amongst otherwise untouched rainforest. Meghalaya lies between Darjeeling and Assam and is known as the ‘Abode of Clouds.’ Lush jungles, golden-green paddy fields, windswept highlands, and verdant valleys, Meghalaya is a breathtaking sight.
