Whole leaf black tea
Memorable artisanal black tea from Assam composed of abundant buds. This tea is extremely viscous, has a lasting aftertaste and a fabulous mouthfeel. Exquisite and complex notes of malt, honey and biscuit reveal undertones of oak bark followed by a whisper of stone fruit.
The passion of the tea farmer is evident when you take the first sip of this extremely special tea. This tea is crafted in very small quantities in the summer between May and June. If you are a tea aficionado, this marvelous tea should definitely be part of your collection.

To prepare an exquisite cup of tea use filtered water.
Number of infusions per 2.5 g serving: 4-5

Origin
Golden-green rice fields, thick forests, manicured tea estates surrounded by blue hills, green valleys, and a red river, Assam is the largest Northeastern state in India. Situated just below the eastern Himalayan foothills, it stretches along the Brahmaputra River. Our Assam Golden Buds originates from one of the finest tea gardens in Assam. It is located in the Sivasagar district and has prized assamica variety hybrids. The garden has been extremely well-laid out to produce teas of exceptional quality.
Meet
Hunted for its horn, the one horned rhinos were almost extinct, with less than 200 left by the end of the 19th century. Conservation efforts have revived their population and brought their worldwide numbers to around 3,000 now — the bulk of them in Kaziranga, Assam.
